However, it should be noted that a living space of 70 sq. ft per individual and an additional of 50 sq. ft for every additional member is advised. Additionally, children should have their own bedrooms and shouldn’t have to share their bedrooms with siblings of the opposite gender.
According to the Texas Apartment Association, a two-bedroom apartment can house up to a maximum of six people above the age of 18. There is no callout for the number of children that can reside in the two-bedroom apartment.
You can also provide sanctuary to a victim of domestic violence for up to one month, legally.
As a standard, a guest can stay with a tenant for 14 days in a six-month period. After this, the landlord may view the guest as a tenant. These restrictions may vary from state to state, so be sure to check with your local laws and landlord.
